The women’s suffrage campaign in Hereford is a remarkable story, with the militant suffragettes and peaceful suffragists often working collectively, ranged against the anti-suffrage activists who were equally passionate about their opposition to women gaining the Parliamentary vote. All these are brought together in Clare Wichbold’s book Hard Work - But Glorious

Gentle Summer Walk Followed by Tea
David Whitehead will lead us on a journey of discovery: "the architectural/garden history of this corner of Hereford". We will finish with tea and exploration of his Hafod Road garden.
Wednesday September 6th HCS Annual Summer Outing.
Shrewsbury Flaxmill & Maltings and includes a boat trip on the River Severn.
