Civic Voice is the national charity for the civic movement in England. Their mission is to develop a society where everyone can say “I care about where I live”.
Place Alliance is a movement for place quality. It is founded on the idea that through collaboration and better communication we can establish a culture whereby the quality of place becomes an everyday national and local priority. Place Alliance brings together organisations and individuals who share the belief that the quality of our built environment has a profound influence on people's lives.
Every town and city should have a physical space where people can go to understand, debate and get involved in the past, present and future of where they live, work and play. The purpose of an Urban Room is to foster meaningful connections between people and place, using creative methods of engagement to encourage active participation in the future of our buildings, streets and neighbourhoods.
